Integrated Wood-Fired Heating System for Commerical, Municipal and Industrial Buildings

Our completely integrated system is a modular design, ranges in size from 500 kW to 3 MW (1.7 MM BTUs to 10 MM BTUs), and can be incorporated into existing or new buildings. The heart of our system is a very efficient burner and boiler combination. It uses locally harvested, sustainable wood fuel (wood chips) combusted in a unique Scandinavian-style burner. All of the combustion of the wood chips takes place inside the burner; just the hot gases and flame enter the boiler. The burner has a sophisticated combustion chamber that through a combination of draft fans and dampers provides the proper combustion air ratio. The burner is uniquely designed to effectively dry higher moisture fuel prior to combustion. This provides greater fuel flexibility and the lowest possible emissions. The Scandinavian-style burner makes our system unlike any other wood-fired system offered in North America.

We use only the finest quality components and simple design to insure consistency and reliability. We have incorporated a simple but robust fuel delivery system that is easily loaded by delivery trucks and/or loaders, and is heated to prevent fuel from freezing in the bin. Fuel bin capacity ranges from 150 cubic yards to 400 cubic yards. Larger or custom-size fuel bins are also available. Starting with a live floor fuel bin that can be loaded by truck, live floor trailers, or front-end loader, the hydraulically driven live floor gradually conveys the fuel forward towards a fuel delivery screw augers. The fuel delivery augers then convey fuel into an elevating auger that feeds the burner.

Our system is controlled by one PLC (Programmable Logic Control) that is remotely accessible. The state-of-the-art pre-programmed system is easy to operator, but complete and sophisticated enough to provide the best possible combustion with the lowest emissions. Operators can access and manipulate the system remotely from any PC (on-line computer) with the proprietary software. Should an issue occur, it will send an email message directly to a PC or cell phone.

Manufactured in a factory setting, our system is completely integrated and assembled prior to shipment, allowing for a seamless and trouble-free assembly on-site. It can be fitted into a pre-engineered or existing structure and upon delivery, and can be set up and operating within a few days. The system also can be purchased with or without an optional pre-engineered and pre-fabricated building enclosure. A complete set of drawings and step-by-step instructions (including concrete foundation drawings) is also available.
